Nikolaus Heidelbach and Norman Junge – monsters (Ungeheuer)

The illustrators of children’s books and picture book authors Nikolaus Heidelbach and Norman Junge, who have won many awards, bring to life all manner of grotesque figures of fantasy and nightmare in their brilliant and charming drawings. The subtle irony and macabre humour of the 500 works exhibited here do not just appeal to children. Apart from the artists’ drawings there are also sculptures on display – among them the one-key piano by Norman Junge. A reading and painting station provides young visitors to the exhibition with a space to indulge their own imaginative fantasies.
