In 2019, crafts, design and applied arts will be presented to a broad public for the 29th time at the highest level. With a total of 60,000 euros, the traditional competition, which is held every two years by the NRW state government, is one of the most important art awards in Germany. It focuses on the unique handmade piece. There are six thematic areas: Furniture, sculptures, jewellery, clothing & textiles, media, living. All nominated works will be shown in the exhibition at the MAKK.
